OUR INSTRUCTORS
Jorge Valdez

Jorge is a herpetologist from Baja California, Mexico. He has collaborated on various projects related to the monitoring, research, and conservation of wildlife, mainly amphibians and reptiles in the Baja California peninsula. He is the Research Coordinator and founding member of Fauna del Noroeste. His main research interest is focused on the ecology and conservation of amphibians and reptiles.
Jeff Alvarez

Jeff, Founder of The Wildlife Project, researcher, and board member of Fauno, brings an exceptional blend of passion for wildlife and extensive field expertise. Beyond his research, Jeff is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of conservation professionals, offering guidance in best practices, career development, and long-term field engagement.
Cancellation policy
By registering for this workshop, you are supporting a non-profit organization that relies on registration fees, donations, and a few small grants to operate. Therefore, full payment is required at the time of registration.

If you need to cancel, you have two options:
You may consider your payment a generous donation to a cause that will use your contribution wisely.

Logistics information
Traveling to Baja California.
If you don´t want to drive alone, we caravan on the first day from the San Ysidro Border.
If you are bringing your own car, you will need to get a tourist card (we can let you know how).
If you have a 4x4 car or high clearance is great, if not, don´t worry we will carpool to the survey locations.

Lodging
Camping only. Camp fee is included in the registration fee. Site has no facilities (electricity, water, phone signal or wifi) so come prepared. ​

Food
We will provide dinner for the first day, all meals the second day, and breakfast for the last day.
