PhD. Anny Peralta

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

A biologist from UABC, with a Master's degree in Science (SDSU) and a PhD in Natural Resources Conservation (CIBNOR), she researches the distribution, threats, genetics of amphibians, and the conservation of wildlife in northwestern Mexico.

MSc. Jorge Valdéz

RESEARCH COORDINATOR

A biologist with a degree from UABC and a Master of Science from CIBNOR, he specializes in the diversity, ecology, and conservation of herpetofauna in northwestern Mexico. He is associate curator of the UABC Herpetological Collection in Ensenada.

Cinthia Haro

ADMINISTRATOR

With extensive experience in the administrative management of conservation associations, he excels at coordinating operational functions and contributing to species preservation with great passion and skill.

Angela Tamayo

PROJECT COORDINATOR

A UABC graduate, she is a biologist interested in bird conservation and ecology. She has volunteered on expeditions to Baja California and Guadalupe Island. She is currently developing a project on plant-bird interactions at the UABC Botanical Garden.

David Mora

A biologist with a degree from UABC, he has experience in environmental education. With extensive communication skills and a strong interest in making scientific information accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.

Brayan León

LOGISTICS ASSISTANT

A biologist graduated from the Faculty of Sciences at UABC, he has a deep passion for turtles and environmental education. He has work on the ecological aspects of the Southwestern Pond Turtle in Baja California.

Sara García

PROJECTS ASSISTANT

An environmental scientist and graduate of UABC, she has a strong interest in environmental restoration and the protection of native species. She has experience in environmental education, as well as in the management, germination, and transplanting of native plants. She is currently developing her thesis on eradication strategies for the invasive plant known as Carpobrotus sp. (also known as ice plant).

PhD. Sula Vanderplank

ASSOCIATE RESEARCHER

A botanist specialized in vegetation and biodiversity conservation in Baja California. She holds a PhD in Plant Ecology from the University of California, Riverside. Her research has been instrumental in conservation efforts at various sites across the peninsula.

PhD. Arturo Ramírez

ASSOCIATE RESEARCHER

Marine ecologist specialized in coastal environments and ecosystem services, he holds a master's degree in coastal oceanography (UABC) and a PhD in marine biology (Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego). He has experience directing research and teaching at UC San Diego, UABC, and CIAD.
